Housekeeper Jobs (Seasonal)

Siebkens Resort – Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

Warm hospitality in a historic lakeside setting. Siebkens Resort is seeking Housekeepers to join our seasonal team. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

As a Housekeeper, you will care for our guest rooms, public spaces, and resort facilities, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment. Your work is a critical part of the guest experience and helps maintain our historic resort’s reputation for quality and hospitality.

Responsibilities

General Expectations for All Housekeepers:

  • Treat co-workers, staff, vendors, and guests with courtesy and respect

  • Maintain tidy, clean, and safe work areas

  • Protect equipment and report any damage or deficiencies

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Respond to guest needs promptly and professionally

  • Communicate clearly with other resort departments

  • Always maintain a professional appearance

Housekeeping Duties:

  • Clean guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms

  • Empty wastebaskets, ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal areas

  • Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors; clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies

  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and polish furniture and equipment

  • Disinfect equipment and supplies using proper methods

  • Sort, count, and store clean linens; handle laundry including washing, ironing, folding

  • Replenish supplies in guest rooms (linens, towels, toiletries, writing items, drinking glasses)

  • Move and arrange furniture; turn mattresses as needed

  • Deliver guest amenities such as TVs, ironing boards, cribs, and rollaway beds

  • Set up rooms for meetings, events, or social functions

  • Request repair services and coordinate with maintenance staff

  • Wash dishes, clean kitchens, utensils, and polish silver and metalwork

Additional Expectations:

  • Maintain organized storage areas and carts

  • Prioritize speed, accuracy, and attention to detail in a busy resort environment

  • Follow all health, safety, and resort-specific protocols

Position Requirements

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • No formal education or prior experience required

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

Pay: $14.00–$19.00 per hour

Employee Housing (Optional)

Limited dorm-style employee housing is available for seasonal staff (18 years and older):

  • Double occupancy rooms near the resort in Elkhart Lake

  • Cost: $40 per week per employee

  • Availability varies by season and position

Housing is offered as a convenience for seasonal employees relocating to the area.
