Warm hospitality provided in a historic setting… Siebkens Resort is looking for Housekeepers to join our team. We are looking for people with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and an eye for detail.
You will to attend to our lodging accomodations and public spaces with integrity and attention to detail. A successful Housekeeper will create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.
Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities for all positions:
- Treat all co-workers, staff, vendors, and guests with courtesy and respect. In other words, treat others as you would wish to be treated.
- Ensure assigned work areas are tidy, clean, and safe.
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Work well both independently and in a team setting.
- Respond to resort guests’ needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate well with other departments of the resort.
- Always maintain a professional appearance.
- Ensure all rooms and public spaces are cared for and inspected according to standards.

- Notify superiors of any damages, deficits, or disturbances.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any Siebkens Resort-related practices.
A great Housekeeper will be quick to complete tasks, diligent, and always working to improve. To succeed, you must be able to function in a busy environment as a part of a team while performing the following tasks.
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
- Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.
- Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items.
- Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
- Answer telephones and doorbells.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests’ rooms.
- Hang draperies and dust window blinds.
- Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive.
- Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.
- Polish silver accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.

- No education or experience requirements
Job Opportunity Information:
- Positions are temporary and full-time
- April 15 through October 31
- >35 hours per week
- Morning, mid-day, and evening shifts available, 7 days a week
- Total number of job openings: 12
- On-the-job training will be provided
- The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job
Wage and Other Compensation Information:
- Hourly wage = $14.09-$16 per hour for the first 40 hours each week
- Overtime wage = $21.14-$24 per hour for each hour over 40 hours each week
- A single workweek will be used to compute wages due
- The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period
- All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made
- Pay period = every 2 weeks
- On-site lodging available for $50/week per worker
- H-2B workers
- H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees)
- Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period.” “Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer
