Siebkens Resort is hiring Sous Chefs, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers to join our culinary team for the summer season.
Our historic lakeside resort welcomes guests from across Wisconsin and the Midwest, and our kitchen team plays a key role in creating memorable dining experiences.
Season: April/May – September/October
Hours: 32–50 hours per week depending on position and demand.
Employee Housing: Limited dorm-style housing may be available for seasonal employees (double occupancy) for $40 per week.

Professional Standards

Kitchen Responsibilities
• Follow direction from the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations
• Follow sanitation and food safety standards
• Protect and properly use kitchen equipment
• Help maintain an efficient, organized kitchen
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for up to 10 hours during a shift
• Ability to twist, bend, and reach while performing kitchen tasks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in conditions common to a commercial kitchen, including periods of heat and humidity
• Manual dexterity to safely operate knives, kitchen tools, and equipment
Seasonal Sous Chef
Pay: $28–$34 per hour
Hours: 32–50 per week
Overview
The Sous Chef is part of the kitchen leadership team and works closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily operations and maintain high food quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and support cooks and kitchen staff
• Coordinate food production during service
• Assist with food preparation and line execution
• Taste and evaluate dishes for quality and consistency
• Ensure proper plating and presentation
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards
• Monitor inventory and kitchen organization
Requirements
• Experience supervising in a commercial kitchen
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques
• Culinary school training helpful but not required
Line Cook
Pay: $18–$27 per hour
Hours: 32–50 per week
Overview
Line Cooks prepare menu items under the direction of the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and presented properly.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up cooking stations and prepare ingredients
• Cook menu items using various kitchen techniques
• Plate dishes according to presentation standards
• Maintain clean and organized workstations
• Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels
Requirements
• Commercial kitchen experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service
Prep Cook
Pay: $15–$18 per hour
Hours: 32–50 per week
Overview
Prep Cooks support the kitchen by preparing ingredients and completing essential tasks that allow service to run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow daily prep lists from kitchen leadership
• Wash, chop, and prepare vegetables and proteins
• Measure ingredients and prepare recipes
• Label and properly store food items
• Assist with basic cooking tasks
Requirements
• Kitchen experience helpful but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher
Pay: $12–$17 per hour
Hours: 32–50 per week
Overview
Dishwashers and kitchen porters keep the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently. This role is essential to the success of the culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
• Sanitize kitchen work surfaces and prep areas
• Assist with trash removal and cleaning tasks
• Help receive and store deliveries
• Support kitchen staff when needed
